RA's feast Day

This had to be one of the busiest feast days yet. We let RA pick all the food for the day. So we started at QDoba for lunch. Then we met my parents (Nana & Blue Truck) at a beautiful and very creative park in downtown C-Springs call America the Beautiful Park. It was a 90 degree day so we took drinks and got ice cream. We think Blue Truck liked the park as much as the kids. We didn't take pictures but here is one I found. They have very creative ideas.
After the park, our dentist (whose kids are in the homeschool co-op with us) had an open house and one of the priests from the Community of St. Jean came to do the blessing. He gave RA a blessing on her feast and gave our family a blessing as well. They had a teenager doing face painting at the open house so the kids had a blast. Blake asked her, "How did you learn this?" She said, "I just picked it up." I'm impressed.
As I said RA chose the food for the day, so it was home to ice a cake and make dinner - breakfast burritos.

A fun and tiring day was had by all, especially the feast day girl!

How to meet your neighbors

So the day after we arrived in Colorado, the movers came. I drove Blake's car from my mom's house to my house with DG. The 18 wheel moving truck followed me. Blake, RA, PG and Grandpa H drove in the van to pick up lunch. My mom came in her car after going to the bank.
Anyway, I parked Blake's car across the street from our house so the truck could get closer. DG and I went in the house while the moving truck parked. I put my purse on the counter and DG and I walked outside. All of the sudden Blake's car horn start blaring. Not the alarm sound mind you, it was just blaring. I ran into the house and grabbed the keys from my purse but nothing worked. So the mover unplugged our battery till later. In the meantime, two of our neighbors came out to introduce themselves. Needless to say, I don't remember their names because I was in shock about the car. But if you ever need a way to meet your neighbors, well...

More Colorado

I'll get around to Christmas, but right now more Colorado. On Dec. 23rd we went to the Airforce Academy. I think it was the only day it snowed (except the day we arrived) while we were there. But I love snow, so I am not complaining. My dad graduated from the AFA so we always visit when we go. And PG was so excited to see more planes. DG's favorite part was the pipe organ in the protestant chapel. I don't have a picture but it is huge. DG did get a t-shirt from the AFA gift shop that said, "AIR FORCE when you absolutly, positivly need something blown up overnight." We love it!PG & Blue Truck PG, Blue Truck, and Unc Eddie

Trip to Colorado

This past week Blake's (my husband) uncle died. So we packed up the boys (RA stayed with Nanna) and drove to Colorado. We were also able to see my grandparents while we were there. The boy playing cards is Blake's cousin's son, Nick. He is in third grade and a good indication of things to come. Blake's parents rode home with us. Boy are we all glad to be out of the car.
