Grandma & Grandpa Helgoth

Well, my in-laws left yesterday after a week long visit. The kids and my husband and I were sad to see them go. It is good to be around family. I feel so blessed my parents live close. I just wish I could find a way to live by everyone. PG really warmed up to his grandparents while they were here and also really started talking quite a bit which was exciting for his grandparents to hear.

Renaissance Fair

My oldest is obsessed with knights. So we attended our 2nd annual (it's really the 5th) Fishers Renaissance Fair this weekend as a kick off to the Blue Knights Boy's club.

Trip to Colorado

This past week Blake's (my husband) uncle died. So we packed up the boys (RA stayed with Nanna) and drove to Colorado. We were also able to see my grandparents while we were there. The boy playing cards is Blake's cousin's son, Nick. He is in third grade and a good indication of things to come. Blake's parents rode home with us. Boy are we all glad to be out of the car.

St. book

Last night we watched the movie Therese for the feast day. On RA's feast day, she recieved St. Therese paper dolls and since has been fascinated by her and so we had thought she might be interested in at least part of the movie. However, both kids watched the whole thing.

In school, DG is compling stories of saints with his own drawings for a saint book, so we decided to add St. Therese today.

I wish you could see this in color. It is the sisters around St. Therese on her death bed. He was only prompted in the story by "then what happened?"
